Music at Fairford

Singing
We love singing at our school. Every week we learn a new song and we choose our favourites in a Big Sing at the end of term.
Click here to go to the Singup Song Bank, where you can find lots of our favourite songs.
We have recently been awarded the Singup Gold Award in recognition of our development of singing. We have also been invited to take part in a national research project assessing children's singing in 'singing schools' across the country.
Are you interested in learning an instrument?

Lots of children learn a musical instrument at school. You can choose from flute, clarinet, oboe, saxophone, piano, violin, cello, guitar, bass guitar, brass instruments and voice. If your parents would like more information about learning a musical instrument, Mrs Lee would be happy to talk to them.
At our whole school assemblies we often have one of our musicians to play as we arrive and leave, and we enjoy hearing how everyone is progressing with their musical instrument.
Choir
We now have two wonderful choirs at Fairford, our Key Stage 2 choir and our new Infants' Choir. Both choirs have over thirty children.
Eleven members of the Junior Choir took part in a big adventure in June - a trip to our partner school in Sweden to sing with our Swedish friends. Watch this space for some pictures.
Why not join the choir this year? We practise on Mondays after school, finishing at 4pm, and we have lots of fun.
